Purchasing a lodge at Blossom Hill Park is the most affordable way to own a second home in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and to assist you we have compiled the following Frequently Asked Questions.

What am I purchasing?
You are purchasing a new lodge holiday home which is built to residential standard BS3632. It is fully furnished, to include all floor coverings, curtains, fridge, freezer, cooker, hob, washing machine with drying cycle and decking area.

How long is the licence?
When you purchase a holiday lodge, you are given a 50 year Holiday Licence which is signed by both parties at the time the purchase is completed. We can at any time prior to purchase provide you with a copy of this licence.

Can I live in a holiday lodge at Blossom Hill?
Conditions of the planning permission mean that you are required to use your lodge as a second or holiday home rather than a primary residence.

How long is the park open?
The park operates on a 12 month holiday licence, meaning that we are open all year round.

Apart from the purchase price, what other charges are payable?
The annual site fees are currently £2202 plus VAT. Electric and water are metered by local utility companies. The lodge is not subject to Council Tax, but rates are chargeable.

When do I pay the site fees?
This is payable annually on 1st November. During your first year of ownership the fees will be a pro rata payment of the annual amount.

Can I sublet out my holiday home?
Holiday homes are for the use of the owner and any family or friends, between September and June, and not for commercial letting purposes. Commercial letting is permitted in the months of July and August. Full details are given in the park rules.
