Blossom Hill - Devon

Where to go

A lifetime of things to see and do...

Nestling amongst the dramatic, steep wooded Blackdown Hills in the quiet depths of East Devon, Blossom Hill enjoys an enviable position on the edge of the pretty village of Dunkeswell which has a convenience store, social club, tennis club and a typical Devonshire thatched pub.

Blossom Hill is just six miles from the historic lace making town of Honiton, now widely celebrated as the antiques and curios capital of the South West- the delightful streets are made for browsing! Honiton offers all the amenities one could wish for, without venturing to the larger towns.

In nearby Simouth you'll find beautiful gardens and leisurely walks, regency history and fine hotels, clean beaches and friendly shops .....its' all here in this lovely seaside town that nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid valley.

Where the river Exe meets the sea, you'll find the seaside resort of Exmouth - a paradise for children and adults alike. Exmouth is well celebrated for for it's long two-miles of golden sands, which is rare for this coast. The river Exe is internationally known for it's wildlife.

Less than 30 minutes drive away is Exeter, the capital city of Devon. A diverse city full of history and character, and following a 4 year redvelopment of the city centre - fantastic for shopping! The Quayside houses the visitor centre illustrating the history of Exeter from Roman times to the present day. There's lots to enjoy on the quay - walking, cycling, boating, or just relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch or afternoon tea by the water's edge. If it's shopping you enjoy, you'll drive many miles to equal the variety of shops in the city centre. From top brands to great local independant retailers, there's so much choice!
