One of the largest and most prestigious events of its kind in Europe, the Southampton Boat Show lowers the gangplank for 10 days in the city’s Mayflower Park. Eye-catching powerboats, dinghies and yachts can be viewed throughout the show in the bustling Marina, while in the vast Ocean Hall you can see the latest boating products from world-renowned brands. You’ll find everything from marine clothing to electronics and maintenance equipment, as well as a few gizmos you probably never knew existed but from then on couldn’t possibly hit the water without! There’s also lots of activities for kids to enjoy, making it an ideal family day out.
With eight boutique 5-star parks dotted around the UK, The Dream Lodge Group is the first choice for many when it comes to a desirable getaway on dry land. But more than just an elegant holiday home, our Luxury Lodges also offer great investment opportunities. If the lodge lifestyle is something that appeals to you, stop by to meet our experienced and friendly team at the Southampton Boat Show. They can walk you through one of our latest lodges, while also providing answers to any queries you may have.
After another successful year in 2015, we returned to the prestigious Southampton Boat Show in September, set just a short sail away from The Solent. Our last show of 2016, we couldn’t have been happier to participate, joining over 600 other incredible exhibitors from a diverse range of luxury lifestyle brands. The show took place from 16th – 25th September and with over 90% of our opportunities sold out across the group, there was no better time to become a Dream Lodge owner.
We were particularly thrilled to be exhibiting this year, as we took the opportunity to exhibit one of our brand new Lodges for 2016! After the successful launch of our Villa Sogno Lodge at Blenheim Palace, we were delighted to welcome you all and hear you speak in more detail about what you think to our new reveal. Visitors had the chance to see how this lodge delivers a rich sense of luxury and easy, stylish living – the consensus was that Villa Sogno takes style, design and sumptuous comfort to another level. Visitors could also take advantage of our exclusive show offer which was unveiled by our sales team as people arrived at our exhibit area.
Throughout the show there were plenty of opportunities to explore every aspect of British boating and, further to that, a number of exciting live shows including a jaw-dropping hurricane and spitfire air display, group talks, hands-on activities for kids as well as adults, and last but not least an unbeatable shopping experience with more than 600 stalls and stands.

We were extremely proud to be participating in this year’s Southampton Boat Show that took place from the 16-25th September 2016. The event was bigger than ever with brand new attractions that the whole family would have enjoyed. From children’s activities to marine fashion and traditional boat building, the event was full of boating fun for those who just love being out on the water.
We couldn’t have been more thrilled to take part in this amazing annual event; it’s not every day you get to rub shoulders with Olympians while displaying what we are most passionate about. Visitors had the chance to take a look around our latest luxury lodge, the Villa Sogno, which was first launched at this year’s BBC Countryfile Live. We designed this lodge to create a relaxed and spacious feel using soft pastel tones. The fully furnished Villa Sogno comes complete with hi-tech fittings and an open-plan dining and living area. The living space features large retractable doors, letting light flood into the area to create a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors. The large outdoor decking area is inspired by the Al Fresco Italian lifestyle, making it perfect for those who love to entertain guests.
Fresh from the Olympics in Rio, some of the British team were in attendance at the show to help the opening ceremony get underway. Last year, over 10,000 visitors got involved with the watersport activities at the event and this year, with the help of the Olympians, they attracted even larger numbers.

There were plenty of fun activities to keep the little ones amused as you looked around the beautiful boats on display. The most imposing three-masted sailing barques, Tall Ship Artemis, was berthed at the marina and children were invited to climb on board and learn about the history of the boat and chat to some of the crew.
Visitors could also join in with beach games at the sandpit at the Festival Stage Area in Solent Park. Buckets and spades were provided and games such as giant Jenga and Connect 4 were available for kids to play.
For those who fancied a little quiet time to look around some of the displays, Get Afloat dinghy sailing lessons were available for 8-16 year olds. The lessons were free, and there was also the chance to try stand-up paddle boarding.
There were also plenty of ways to get out on the water such as Try a Boat, where you could book your ride and be taken out on a RIBS Power Boat or Yacht. Bumper Boats were available for children aged 3-9 who could learn how to steer their boat, and once they got the hang of that, they were allowed to unleash the water cannons. The Royal Navy Parachute Display Team were also there to put on a great show.
Finally, disabled visitors and wheelchair users had the chance to be taken out on the 9m Cheetah catamaran for the ride of a lifetime and a day they’ll never forget.
The Festival Stage was the place to be for live music and to see this year’s most popular marine fashion. The stage opened each day with a fashion show, highlighting the latest trends to be seen in on the water. Over the weekend, visitors were invited to take part in a Guinness World Record attempt using people to create an image of a boat, also on the Festival State.
This area was also where you could find refreshments in the Food Village, with deck chairs provided for a little relaxation as visitors enjoyed a bite to eat and some live performances.
The Battle of the Classes Pursuit Race took place on the 25th September and was hosted by Royal Southampton YC and SWAC. Each dinghy class was invited to enter two of their best boats to compete in the annual race, which was eventually won by the 420 UK Youth Squad.

We were extremely pleased to attend the Southampton Boat Show 2015 located at Mayflower Park, Town Quay, Southampton. Visitors had the chance to come and experience The Summit for themselves – a lodge that had already won 2015’s ‘Lodge of the Year’ award – so no-one was left disappointed. A huge number of visitors took the opportunity to stop by and speak to some of our friendly advisers, learn what opportunities we had for you and experience a sneak preview into the Dream Lodge lifestyle!Back to events
