Measuring over 6,000 yards from the tee on the first hole to the end of the course, it offers all year round play as the course is kept in an excellent condition with some springy downland turf. Designed by former golf professional Henry Cotton, this superb 18-hole parkland course is situated on the edge of the cathedral city of Ely and prides itself on being one of the most friendly and welcoming clubs in the region. The course is open all year round and offers fabulous views of the famous cathedral. As the course winds its way through the trees, it’s challenging to even the most experienced golfer. Set around mature trees, this is an exceptionally challenging 18-hole course, but it's also highly enjoyable, boasting an excellent green with three daunting finishing holes, including one of the longest par 5’s in the country. Cambridge Meridian Golf Club straddles the Meridian Line – just one of ten courses worldwide to do so – giving rise to the club’s unusual name. The course sits in a 210-acre site between the villages of Comberton and Toft, five miles west of Cambridge. It was designed by Ryder Cup players Peter Alliss and Clive Clark and is considered one of the UK’s finest courses. (Distance from park: 17.3 miles)
